Hi my name is Grismeldy and my dogs name is Suzzie. She is a 10 year old pekingese that has become my best friend over the years. We got her when I was a freshman in highschool. My dog has provided me with comfort and unconditional love throughout the years. When I joined the military it was hard to say goodbye to her but I knew I would see her again. This summer I was able to bring her back with me to Georgia because I had moved off base and had my own apartment. My family was on vacation and had asked me to look after her until they were able to pick her up. I brought Suzzie back with me to Georgia and had a friend to come home to after a long day at work. One day I noticed Suzzie was acting strange so I took her to the vet. I noticed that when she walked she would sometimes trip and fall. Her legs in the front would give out and she would land on her shoulders. Unfortunately another pressing matter came up from the vet visit. I was informed that she had a uterus infection. She had surgery the next day. The surgery was expensive but I didn't want the infection to spread and cause her more pain. My family and I paid $1,300 for her surgery. Two weeks had passed and she was doing fine with the occasional falling. Yesterday Suzzie was unable to get out of bed and walk and I had to take her to the vet for an emergency visit. Thats when they told me she needs an MRI and back surgery to fix the disc inflammation in her back. This surgery is out of my funds and I am asking for help. Itll be around $5,000 for her to get the surgery. As of today I need to carry her with me to make sure she doesnt fall and hurt herself and she crawls on the ground to get around. Please help me get Suzzie to walk again. It pains me to see my bestfriend in pain and being unable to help her.
