My name is Kallie Kotze,   I am an aspirant musician with a good track record in the musical domain.

In my personal capacity, I assist with vocal coaching by assisting other aspiring singers. In order to add value to the learners in my group, I arrange and hosted several musical shows to expose and promote their talent.  In this regard I have also over the years managed to build a strong network with various supportive patrons in the musical and entertainment arena. I was a participant in the highly acclaimed musical show “Op Gister Se Voet Spore” that was staged at the Roxy Revue Bar at the Grand West Casino during the month of August and September 2015. NueLight Productions produced and directed the show.

Homophobia and related topics are very close to my heart. Statistics are alarming at how gay teens are rediculed, abused and shunned in South Africa. I would like raise awareness throughout the country, so that people can see, that love is love - we can not put a lable on it.

Corrective rape is a hate crime in which people are raped because of their perceived sexual orientation or gender identity. The common intended consequence of the rape, as seen by the perpetrator, is to turn the person heterosexual or to enforce conformity with gender stereotypes.

I'm in the process of liaising with an award winning film director to produce my first music video that portrays the struggles of most gay teenagers. The video will raise awareness for abused gay teens and in some instances deal with homophobic violent attacks. I'm relying on crowd-funding. My goal is 100 pledges at R100 a pledge! 50% of all proceeds of the song's downloads will be distributed to a charity in Cape Town that deal with these troubled teens. Who would be willing to get involved in a such a project that is so close to my heart?
