My name is Richard Truelove.  I am running this fund raising campaign for my son Michael.  Michael works very hard paying his way through college in the Fargo, ND / Moorehead, MN area. He helps other students by tutoring calculus. He is frequently seen singing and playing his guitar in downtown Fargo, ND where he lives.

Michael was arrested for aggrivated assault, gross sexual imposition, impeding a 911 call, and terrorizing.  Michael has no recollection of events from when he was at the bar untill he woke up in jail the next morning.  We believe that Michael was unknowingly drugged with Scopolamine and overserved alcohol. Michael has been assigned a public defender.  We believe that the public defendor will not adequately represent Michael and explore every aspect of this situation to give him the legal representation that he needs. 

I am asking that you help fund Michaels legal defense so that he can hire an attorny that will focus on his case, explore all aspects of what happened, and give him a fair trial. All funds donated will go expressly for legal representation. 

I am asking for your help on behalf of Michael.  As his father I raised him to be honest, respectful, and caring towards other people.  I, as most parents, pray that our children, even adult children, do not fall victim to violence or being drugged.  I am asking you to look beyond the charges that have been set towards Michael and give him the opportunity find out what really happend to him during those missing hours of his life. 

I truely believe that Michael will be exonerated from these charges once all the facts have been brought before a judge and jury. I believe that they will find that the bar he was in over served him alcohol. I believe they will find that the woman he was with, who bought him drinks, overserved him alcohol.  Finally, I believe that any video footage from the bar will show someone tampering with his drink.
