We are asking for your support for our Under 14's rugby team from Ellingham and Ringwood Rugby Club.

The Under 14's have reached the semi-final of the Hampshire cup and have been drawn to play Vectis away. This means we will have to travel to the Isle of Wight, as that is the home of Vectis, however there is a substantial cost involved in getting a squad of 22 players from Ringwood to the Isle of Wight. The match is on Sunday the 8th March 2015 so we don't have long to raise the funds.

Our boys are all in year 9 at school and are aged between 13 and 14 years. They train as a squad on Sunday mornings and Tuesday evenings at Poulner Junior School. Two years ago these boys lost every game they played, but they have not given up they turn out for training in good numbers and they have grown as a team because of this.

The coaches have encouraged and supported the boys every step of the way, giving up their time to train them twice a week. Last year they won the Leicester Tigers Challenge Trophy at Butlins Minehead and now they are in the semi-final of the Hampshire Cup.

This is a fantastic achievement and the boys have grown together as a squad. We have a diverse group of boys who all come together on the rugby pitch and play as a team.

If you could support us in some small way financially so that the squad can be chosen on ability rather than other considerations. This is a big road trip for the boys and a great team building opportunity.
