Greetings,
My name is Symone Curry, and I am the daughter of Eric and Tia Poore. I am honored to announce that I have been selected to participate in the 2015 Ivy Hall Foundation Cotillion, in conjunction with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. The Ivy Hall Foundation, has honored worthy, minority students with scholarships to encourage their pursuit of higher education.
Currently, I am a twelfth grade student. I am involved in many school, church, and community activities. Some of the activities I participate in are Varsity Softball, Physician Mentoring Program, Student Government, and Student Ambassador. I enjoy being a member of Student Government, because it expands my character, networking, and leadership skills tremendously. I plan to attend a university to pursue a bachelors degree in nursing and continuing my education to become a medical doctor.
A cotillion is a ball, a social event to celebrate a young lady's introduction into polite society. The objective of the Ivy Hall Cotillion is to provide a select group of young ladies with the opportunity to enhance their skills in educational, cultural, and social programs. Programs and training sessions are provided to motivate the Debutantes-Elect to strive for higher standards of living, enhance self-esteem, and encourage them to participate in cultural and community service activities as well as career institutes. In addition, this exciting event will give me an opportunity to bond with other young ladies with similar interests over the next few months and build lasting friendships.
Besides helping to enhance my social, educational, and cultural growth, the annual Cotillion will help me to earn scholarship funds that is greatly needed for me to attend college.
I am very excited about participating in the 2015 Ivy Hall Cotillion. I am seeking your financial support in an effort to become Miss 2015 Ivy Hall Cotillion Queen of the ball and earn funds for my educational pursuit.
