Kids need access to nutritious food, but schools do not have the funding. That is why Deardorff Family Farms donated this school salad bar and why I am riding in the 275 mile charity bike ride called the Tour De Fresh. Please help by donating.

Over the past three decades, childhood obesity rates in America have tripled, and today, nearly one in three children in America are overweight or obese.  In addition, our kids are lagging behind other industrial nations in test scores for math, science and reading.  These trends must be reversed - and the best first step is to put salad bars in every school.  Study after study shows that kids who have access to fresh fruits and vegetables will create better eating habits, more active lifestyles and be more attentive in class.

I am riding in the 2014 Tour de Fresh to raise awareness and funds to put salad bars in schools.  All the money I raise will go to the Conejo Valley School District, which like most public schools does not have the funding available to add salad bars for kids.  Please donate to help give these kids a healthier future.
