On February 21, 2014 John Lirette got the call he had been waiting for!  A donor heart was available!  Life changes in an instant.

After discovering that his heart was functioning at 10% due to dilated cardio myopathy, John recieved a LVAD that would help keep his heart funcationing for nearly 2 years while waiting for a heart transplant.

The transplant was performed and he is currently recovering in the hospital surrounded by his family.  John has been married to his beautiful wife, Angelle, who lives with Multiple Sclerosis, for 16 years. Together, they have two amazing children – Blake, 19, and Shelby, 16.

John and Angelle continue to be an inspiration and tower of strength to their family and friends with their hopeful outlook and faith that their prayers would be answered.

Medical bills continue to mount, as well as traveling expenses.  Please help lift some of the financial burdon so John can concentrate on his recovery.  Donations can also be made at Capital One Bank in John Lirette's name.
