Women today represent 12% of all computer science graduates. In 1984, they represented 37%.

This is probably shocking to you ... and the numbers are not increasing.

My cousin(dancing for Taal @ Columbia University, NY) is raising funds for "Girls who code" thru an upcoming dance performance Naach Nation XII.

Please donate if

  • this matters to you
  • you think girls also can/should study science

Even a couple of dollars will make a difference.

Many of you are probably in the technology sector and are passionate about dancing as well. You are probably also aware of the gender divide that exists in this country as it relates to women in technology.

For those of you who have not heard of this organization - here is a link http://girlswhocode.com/

Girls Who Code is a national nonprofit working to close the gender gap in the technology sector. Its programs work to educate, inspire, and equip high school girls with the skills and resources to pursue opportunities in computing fields.
