The Lohne-Thornton family needs help to make it through a series of reversals that have left them in serious financial difficult.  Like too many autism families today, they are ending the year wondering how they will make it through winter.

I keep seeing the type of support from this community that tells me that if we all gave a dollar and we fundraised whenever our autistic adults and families were in dire need, as this family is now, no autistic person would be at risk and when a disaster or unexpected life event occured, we would know that crowdfunding gives us the fiscal power to make a significant lifeline to help. 

Can we end the year with a new beginning? This is just one example of a family needing the community's help through a difficult time. For each family and autistic adult that speaks up, so many are suffering silently that it hurts to think about their being too ashamed to ask for help. Let us show people it is ok to ask for help and stick together. That is what real community is. Please give to help this family get back on its feet. The next family in need could be yours.
