My daughter looks perfectly normal, at most times she even acts like it. She only has one working lung, tires easily, trips randomly which we aren't sure if it's because of her ankle weakness ( 3 1/2 weeks in the hospital and having to relearn how to walk) or if it's a result of her brain damage and her limited ability to multitask. She also no longer has the common sense that running in front of a car might be dangerous, she overly focuses trying to compensate for her brain injury which means sometimes forgetting about her surroundings and focusing on getting to wherever she's going. She's only four, which makes it even harder for people to understand. Her injury happened in January, we've only had her card for about three months and get flak for it all the time. Especially because if she's having problems I 'should just be carrying her'. I'm not a big person, I'm 4'8" she's 45lbs and 3'6" not exactly the easiest for me to carry anymore. She's over the weight limit for most strollers, so that isn't a great option for us either. There are many things that lay ahead for us. Right now my top concern for my daughter is a car seat. I am trying to raise money to afford a special needs car seat. Please help however you can.
