After 5 months of trials, Bex Forth has been selected to play for the Great Britain Ultimate Frisbee team at the World Games in Cali, Colombia, this July. This prestigious multi-sport event is run every 4 years under the umbrella of the International Olympic Committee, and is the pinnacle event for all Ultimate players. Bex is one of the leading Ultimate Frisbee players in the world. She has been competing at Elite level for almost 20 years, all of which has been entirely self-funded. She is now a stay-at-home mother of two lovely children, Henrietta (5yrs) and Hugo (2yrs). The cost of taking the family to all the necessary preparatory tournaments and paying childcare costs during training and competition quadruples expenses, and Bex estimates that she has spent £9000 playing ultimate in the last year. Flights to this event for the family (her husband is the volunteer team doctor) will by themselves cost another £5000+. This is very tough to support on a single income. Over the years, Bex has invested hundreds of hours in time coaching, teaching, mentoring and supporting literally hundreds of players. Please support Bex get to the 'Ultimate Olympics'. Every contribution - no matter how small - would be very gratefully received by a player who has dedicated the last 20 years to her sport.
