MISSION 33/ASIA
Grace and Peace Family and Friends,
I pray that the Lord has been doing great and mighty things in your lives, as He has in mine. As we endeavor to do the work of Christ, I would like to share with you an opportunity to serve God’s people that I have been presented with.
In 2009, while in prayer, the Lord burdened my heart for the people of Asia. Not sure as to how and when a door would be open to serve them in ministry, I sought The Lord for direction. While in prayer, God was also depositing in my spirit, a deep desire to reach the young people. In March 2013, I moved by faith and attended a leadership seminar in Texas to reach the next generation. This seminar taught a three-fold focus: TRAINING people of every age to effectively share the Gospel, IMPACTING the national culture with the life-changing message of Christ, and GIVING each individual missionary an experience that will change their life on the adventure of a lifetime!
After receiving recommendations from leaders and passing an interview with the Global Expeditions staff, I was chosen to serve as a Team Leader in Asia! As a Team Leader, we are to mentor 30 young people, while advancing the cause of Christ. These are young people from many different backgrounds. Some from broken homes, others are walking into new realms of servanthood, and many searching for the purpose driven life in Christ Jesus.
So, you may be wondering, why did I write this letter? Well for two reasons. As the Word of God says in Matthew 18:19, “Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.” First, I’m asking for your spiritual support. Prayer advances the move of God. I ask that the Lord’s work in me will abound and I seek direction as to leading and mentoring my mission group. Second, we also know that the Word says that “money answereth all things” (Ecc. 10:19). I’m also asking for your financial support to advance the work of the Lord.
The total cost of the trip to Asia is $5000. My team will be stationed in Manila, Philippines. We will spend 30 days overseas fulfilling the Great Commission. The 50% deadline is May 24, 2013. The final deadline for the trip is June 12, 2013, when all funds are due. I pray that you will heed the voice of God, as He speaks to you on what to give, whether it’s $5, $50, or $500, it will be received with humility and gratitude. Let us serve on one accord as we bind the powers of darkness, and usher in the glorious light of the Lord.
