Asking for help is one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. I have always worked hard to provide for my child and do everything I can on my own. However, I am currently facing one of the most difficult and important challenges of my life, and I am reaching out for support.

I am a single mother who works full-time while also attending school in an effort to create a better future for myself and my child. Every day is a balancing act between work, classes, parenting, and trying to maintain a stable home. While the journey has not been easy, I have remained committed to building a life that will provide security, opportunity, and a brighter future for my child.

At the same time, I am currently involved in a custody case as I seek sole custody of my child. This decision was not made lightly. As a mother, my greatest responsibility is to ensure my child has a safe, stable, and supportive environment in which to grow and thrive. Unfortunately, pursuing custody through the legal system comes with significant financial challenges that I simply was not prepared for.

The costs associated with attorney fees, court filings, document preparation, transportation, and other legal expenses have quickly become overwhelming. Despite working full-time and doing everything within my power to stay afloat financially, these unexpected expenses have created a tremendous burden. Every dollar I put toward legal costs is a dollar taken away from other necessities, and I am doing my best to manage it all while continuing my education and caring for my child.
