Nic and Sarah have been together since 2025, their shared interests and quirks resulted in a deep and profound connection. 
Nic has lived outside of Canyon on his good friend’s property since 2016. His charitable spirit and loving nature are known by all who have met him. He is a repair man, comfort, and strong shoulder many have relied on for many years. He is an animal lover and rescued all 4 of his pets, Gretchen the pitbull, Bear the Chow, Mogwai the young tabby cat, and Gremlin, the beloved loving orange tom.
In March of 2026 Sarah joined Nic with her 3 animals, Sochi Minh Kitty, Monkey, and her Aussie Gus. Nic was kind enough to open and make his place home for her while she worked on changing her career path. 

On May 14th, 2026, a lightning strike lit a pasture on fire a couple miles south west of their home.
Sarah was home alone and noticed the smoke on the far horizon at 5:43. After frantically evacuating as many animals as she could find, the house caught fire by 5:57.  Driving over flames for several miles and through smoke until making it to Happy, Texas where Nic came to get her.

She spent 6 hours on oxygen treatment for a carbon monoxide level 8 times higher than it should be.

Nic has lost every single thing he has owned except for the clothes he was wearing and his vehicle.

His beloved cat Gremlin, and her beloved cat Monkey were not able to be saved in time from the fire.

They are experiencing a huge amount of heartbreak and trauma and have discovered the property owner carried no insurance.
