I need your help for my grandson, Azriel. My name is Trisha Ballon, and I’m reaching out with a grandmother’s plea to help my sweet 6-year-old grandson, Azriel Ballon. He was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and to have any hope of speaking, learning, or living independently, he needs intensive occupational therapy (OT), but our family can’t afford the treatment he desperately deserves.

Based on a recent re-evaluation, Azriel’s neurodevelopmental abilities are estimated to be at a 1-year to 4-year-1-month level, which is below age-appropriate norms for his chronological age of 4 years and 7 months old. While his gross motor skills are an area of relative strength , he faces significant impairment in communication and personal-social skills, which are his lowest scores. His speech is limited to occasional "mama" and "daddy" , and he often indicates his requests by pulling and hand leading. He also struggles with a short attention span and is easily distracted.

Specialists have recommended that Azriel continue or resume intervention in the form of Occupational Therapy (OT) twice a week. This therapy is crucial for his development and includes a sensory integration protocol. Right now, Azriel only attends one hour of therapy per week (costing 1,000 PHP) because that’s all we can manage, but his therapists insist he needs two hours weekly to make real progress. Without this consistent therapy, he’ll fall further behind in school, communication, and daily life skills—like dressing himself, holding a pencil, or answering when his name is called.

We need to raise 10,000 PHP per month to cover:

• Two weekly OT sessions (1,000 PHP/hour)

• Learning materials (sensory toys, worksheets, and tools recommended by his therapist)
