Ada Mackiewicz hasn't added a story.
So, I just succesfully finished a campaign to help me with moving out. Thanks to everyone's support, I can finally take the steps to move out of my abusive home and live on my own.
Or at least I could.
Some backstory - I spent last 10 years living with atypical depression. That means that in addition to not having energy, I don't sleep and eat less - but more. In addition, a typical coping habit for that was to eat a lot of sugary snacks, and drink a lot of energy drinks. And obviously, I didn't have energy for a lot of basic hygiene, like brushing my teeth (and I was often completely uninsured, so I couldn't visit the dentist).
So - my teeth have been in horrible shape. Four of my teeth (all my molars) have rotten almost completely through - to a point where they couldn't even been extracted normally, since trying to pull them could shatter them - they needed surgical extraction. And while I live in Poland, with theoretically public healthcare - public dentistry is terrible and surgical extraction isn't covered (neither is anesthesia, btw.) In 2015 I saved up to remove one of them, and in 2017, second, freeing my left side.
Well it's 2022 and just as I was getting my things in order to leave, the toothache started again. The rotten molars (right ones) I didn't remove hurt, and they hurt a ton. In fact, normal painkillers don't work - I have to take ketoprofen, which is substance often given to horses. The pain sometimes gets better, but then it can return at any moment - I started keeping pills on me in pocket at all times, just in case.
I need your help. I need them removed, but surgical extraction is extremely costly, and I don't yet have any source of income. I could use the funds from the earlier campaign to move out, but here's the thing - that would consume a lot of the funds, and could jeopardize my chances of moving out.
In fact, something like that already happened in 2015 - I made a fundraiser to move out, but had to spend the money on removing the first rotten molar, so I ended up cancelling the move. I don't want that to happen again.
I can't take that risk. Please help me fund getting this in order and finally let me begin my life proper, and escape the shadow of my mental illness and abusive family.
