Dear friends,
It has been over a month since the war in Ukraine started, its impact on lives is devastating. Thank you for supporting all Ukraine-related initiatives! This time I am asking for my family and Ukraine at the same time.
My relative is in the army defending Ukraine now. He is in a well-known 95th Air Assault Brigade, Ukraine’s rapid reaction force. They ask for a pickup truck (or several if possible) to be able to do their job in a safe and effective way.
Why is it important?
- Men and women (including my relative!) risk their lives to protect Ukraine. Over years they have been doing an outstanding job and now (since russia started an open war) the stakes are at their highest.
- They ask for urgent help with pickup truck(s) - this would allow them to be quicker on the move, transport stuff and personnel. This means more lives, villages and cities are saved.
- Why don't they already have trucks? A good question! The answer is the same as on why there are not enough helmets, clothes, vests, medicine - limited budget and supplies.
- Is it really a priority? Yes, a car is an accelerator. Their job without wheels is like our office job without a laptop: the speed and output of the work would be very questionable if only a pen & paper would be used.
What do we already have?
- A specific truck characteristics from the army unit that would match their needs on the ground.
- A shortlist of suppliers: to save budget, we plan to buy a used car in a good condition.
- Volunteers who would transport the car for free and take care of documentation, licensing, and technical maintenance.
- Bonus: we plan not to drive empty-handed. We will load the car with humanitarian and medical help. All the budget above the car cost will go towards purchasing items from top-priority medical and humanitarian lists.
How can I learn more about the recipients of the car?
The 95th brigade has operated since the 90th, played a pivotal role in the war in Donbas, and now fearfully defending Ukraine again. You can read more here:

As said, my relative is there, so I am personally very attached to the cause.
Please donate what you can and share the link with your circle!
Thank you very much,
Iuliia
