There is no heating in Praca. No lighting. Nothing. All the pens are open to the air, even the ones with roofs. Soon, sunset will be early and the nights will be long. Temperatures will be below zero for weeks, day and night, and the agonising cold will bite bone-deep. It will kill every vulnerable dog. A miserable, aching, slow death. We desperately need to provide two things right now. The first is a stock of hay bales for life-saving bedding in the doghouses at the back of the pens. They are concrete and freezing cold. Stuffing them with hay gives dogs a chance, and we need to buy it now, before prices rise and it becomes scarce. The other thing we need is FOOD. The dogs need a layer of fat to live through winter. We need to be giving them good quality, protein-rich food to build up their immunity and put a little weight on them. If we don't, they won't all make it to Spring. That is the reality of Praca. We need to act now. And we have absolutely no money left. Donations have been falling, support has been slipping away and we have struggled to even take food week to week, never mind stocking up. We have all worked so hard together to change Praca from the deathly place it once was. Can we please all get together now for the dogs still in there? They have as much right to life as we do. Food, water, hay and hope. It's not much to ask really. Theirs for the price of a few Euros from each of us.... surely we can spare that? If you can, please do it today, and please keep coming back to help. There's no miracle for the Praca dogs, there's only us.
