Hello,
My name is Andrea Beaver. On January 24,2019 my daughter Jaimie Howard and her son King were both victims of domestic violence. King who was 1yr and 4 days old died as a result of this violence. King's father was arrested and charged with the crime and a few days later they arrested Jaimie and charged her as well. The media made my daughter out to be a monster and made it look as if she did not love her son. That couldn't be further from the truth. Jaimie adored her son and doted on him constantly. She worked to provide for King the best she could while his father sat home and played video games and God know what else all day. She was also attending college online and when she wasn't working she was taking care of King. Jaimie has never been in any type of trouble and graduated high school with honors. She has always loved children. As a child she would often tell me that when she grew up she was going to be a wife and a mommy. My husband and I live in Maine and Jaimie was living in Georgia. She had called me 2 days before this tragedy and told me that she and King were coming to live with myself and my husband. She was set to leave Georgia at the end of January, 2019. Unfortunately they never got the chance to make the journey home. Our family has been rocked to the core by this and we never thought that it could happen to us. Since the death of my grandson my daughter has been trapped in every parent's worst nightmare. Because Jaimie trusted a wolf in sheeps clothing it has not only cost her son's life but also her freedom. I have tried to get advocates for domestic violence to help her but because of the charges they can not. Jaimie has been beside herself with grief since that horrific day. Jaimie has always had a big heart. She has always tried to help anyone in need. She has literally taken her shirt off her back for others. She always thinks of others even now. Jaimie has been constantly verbally bullied by some of the people she is incarcerated with saying horible tings about her and my deceased grandson because he was a biracial child. King is missed so very much every second of everyday. As a mother, not being able to help my daughter is heartbreaking. My Jaimie is in need of mental health treatment that she is not getting in the jail they are housing her in. We are on a fixed income and are in need of your help to get her a good lawyer. She has a public defender but he seems to be incompetent and in the 17 months she has been incarcerated she has only talked to him twice and he does not return phone calls or her letters. Jaimie is a good young women and she would help anyone in need. Now Jaimie needs help! I am asking, almost begging, for any help I can get for Jaimie. I know that there are a lot of people going through hardships due to the pandemic and economy, PLEASE help in anyway that you can. Even a couple of dollars will help. If you can not give financially please pray for my Jaimie and share this with as many people as you can. Thank you for taking the time out of your day to read and share this.
