Covid-19 have hit the world. At Bongo Bongo divers we have so far done everything possible to try and keep our staff engaged. We have had stranded tourist staying. Done necessarily maintenance and repairs. We have applied for all the government help possible. However government funds went empty before our staff got to benefit from it. Not like most western countries small business enterprises have had economic help to help sustain their staff and business.
With the current situation not being better in the Philipines. And the governments continuous closure and strict border controls. It is no longer possible for us to sustain all our employees salaries. As a small company with no government support we humble ask for any small amounts. Any support from $50 or above will be credited with a complimentary dive on your next dive holiday :D ! We are looking to support our staff with monthly paycheck of 5.000 php/person (equals to around $100). The total goal will be 480.000 php or $9650 total to sustain our staff until January next year.
Since there won't be much work at the resort. We will start to collect trash from the beach and surrounding area 3 times a week. We will also work with local government to repair and maintain the marine protected areas. This can hopefully help to keep our town & oceans more clean.
The funds we will receive will 100% go to our current staff and families, for their support in this difficult times. Even small amounts matter and our staff will be forever grateful.
