This picture is my son John and his K-9 partner, Nero, who had just a month prior received the Officer of the Year Award. Nero was a highly decorated crime fighter. He had apprehended hundreds of criminals and located missing children during his four year career of fighting crime. However, Nero's watch came to an end last week when he died from a medical condition while in surgery. Nero assisted in more than 250 criminal apprehensionsand located missing children and endangered adults. He was a Dutch shepherd who worked hard along with other police officers. He was born on April 11, 2013 and lived at Baden K9 training facility in Ontario , Canada. before he was picked up by my son and his police department through a fundraiser to get him. He was trained to track five types of narcotics and was deployed more than 700 times while assisting the U.S. Marshal's Fugitive Task Force in his short life. If you have or ever have had a pet, you know how it was when they passed on and the loss and grief that you had! Help me, help them to get another K-9 for the department ! I'm almost 70 and it was very hard to see my son hurting from his loss.  I would like to Thank you ahead of time for anything you can do and will  say a prayer for you and your family, for your heart warming donation.
