My name is Prapti Joshi and I am 21 year old girl currently pursuing medical science. I live in a small town called Dehradun in the foothills of Himalayas, India.
Who is Nisha Chauhan and why does she need help?
Recently, Our family hired a maid, her name is Nisha Chauhan- 51 year old who is currently working at our home. Her job includes maintaining the house by doing household chores. She is very hard working, caring multitalented and quiet.
I often found Nisha disturbed at work with constant calls coming that agitated her. Yesterday, she showed up at work with multiple bruises around her bodying her face especially near the eye. Upon asking, she cried and revealed that her husband physically and emotionally abuses her. She also mentioned that he is a drunkard and it is a common phenomenon at home.
She wants to escape the dreadful life that she is in with her constantly thinking about running away starting fresh however, she cannot because she provides for her son and has many other financial responsibilities and constraints that don't allow to pay house rent and money for her son's tuition. Any kind of help will be appreciated whether its in form of a donation. If you cannot donate due to personal reasons, please pray for her. Lets help her start a new life for herself and her son. She is doing her best to provide an education for her son but its at the cost of living with this abusive man. She aims to take legal action against him once she is financially independent. I have arranged a temporary alternative of living for her however I do need something permanent to help her out.
More about Nisha
She was brought up in Delhi where her father was a library
worker in the University of Delhi. She liked studying however could
not complete her higher education due to her fathers death of liver
damage at an early age. She has an older brother who currently drives
rickshaws in Delhi for a living. She lives in a small hut near Prabhat
cinemas in Dehradun. Please help her out.
