Hello my name is Ina Edina.  With a friend we have managed to rescue one dog and have fought to save his life from poisoning all week.  Huckleberry's story is below, but we now owe the vet and transport and food and boarding.  please please help us save Huckleberry's life.

Do not know how to start this sad and painful story. Pictures tells more than thousand words. It seems the authorities finally decided to kill all our street dogs. After 4 days of unsuccessful capture, on Saturday thay decided to poison our street- friends, dogs and cats. In the very early morning hygienic service picked up corpses , in order to avoid to be seen. The number of dead dogs was 19 and 11 dead cats, which was officially published on TV SA. The number of poisoned dogs and cats is higher. By saving the small puppie who, by some miracle, stayed alive, we returned to the location and found one bearly alive dog. We reacted urgently and took him to an veterinarian who was on duty this Saturday. The dog was in critical condition of the temperature 42 Celsius , terribly severe cramps. I took the dog to my house. Next day we decided to send it to the Veterinary Faculty for all the findings that could be done there. We did not think about the cost because it was abiout life or death. At the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, expert assistance was provided, blood tracing showed the stinging with the strongest poison Striquinine, 2 times rtg, ultrasound examination 2 times. From Tuesday to Friday, I was driving dogs every day to get the necessary anti-poisoning therapy. The expectation was large and happely enough to survive. We did great efforts to save dog¨s life and he survived. The dog was in a coma, we took off the temperature, the fight lasted daily 24 hours a day. Doctors really did their best to save the dog, the whole week of torment, suffering both for him and us did give results. With some miracle, our hero rose to his feet. Due to the professional assistance of the dog, we placed on Friday at the Pension that runs by Dr. Nenad-, because he is a veterinarian and he knows how to treat poisoned dog. The recovery will last at least 2 months, the consequences of the poison caused in his body is still unknown. The costs are large, the pension itself is 240 km, the treatment of a dog on a vet. faculty over 400 km, plus now there are additional costs for food, because we have to get quality food in order to recover better. Please, if someone can help us a little, to cover the costs of the pension and his hopefully quicker recovery. We can not do this alone, we did everything that was in our power and beyond our ability, only to save this good, innocent soul. It is urgent for him to help, because we really are not able to bear all the costs and pay the board. Please help this dog to recover better and forget this nightmare and hell of life.
