My name is Doris Hopkins and my Friend, Terry Poto, has been battling Chronic Pain and Permanent Disability after a Life Changing Event in 2009.

I remember Terry before the “red light runner” took away her independence and quality of life. Terry still has a beautiful smile and sense of humor. Terry sustained crippling head, neck and back injuries. Terry does not have an appetite and cannot keep on any weight due to her chronic pain. She cannot sleep through the night. She cannot walk normally. She cannot work. Terry has had 4 surgeries since the accident on her back, jaw and neck. Terry’s quality of life has been forever changed.

Terry struggles and fights every day to have “value of life”. We have been struggling to make “ends meet” and cover the cost of her prescription drugs, therapy and living expenses. Terry would benefit from a Spinal Cord Stimulator Implant procedure. Terry was approved for and experienced some relief from a TRIAL Spinal Cord IMPLANT procedure the week of May16th, 2016. The co-pay for the Trial Implant was $800.00 and the Doctor co-pay is $2000.00. Your generous donations have helped cover the co-pay cost of the Implant Trial.

Terry’s pain came back “ten-fold” after the trial procedure ended. The neck injuries Terry has are causing more pain as time continues on and her neck is fusing on its own, limiting her mobility even more.

The Doctor and Insurance have approved Terry for the next phase of a permanent Spinal Cord Stimulator Implant procedure. We have been informed Terry’s co-pay for the procedure alone is $5,758.00. We have been unable to raise the funds to pay the Doctor’s co-pay for the trial procedure and we are asking you to come together and help us raise funds to help with this next step.

Our intention for raising funds is to aid in giving Terry the best quality of life possible. It breaks my heart to see her struggle every day to get out of bed, to get dressed, to try and look normal.
