So it's been nearly 1 year since me and Heidi Greenwood headed off on the trip off a lifetime to Malawi and what a trip it was. We saw some amazing things there and were pleased to say we did our bit to help develop education in the community as well.

One of the projects we were able to raise money for was the sponsorship of two students to carry on studying at secondary and higher education and this is something we plan to continue. We have been fund raising at school but are still a little short. Last year everyone was incredibly generous in supporting our fundraising and it would be wonderful if you can do so again with whatever you can offer. Anything would be greatly received, so if you are able to do so, please donate.

Help2Kids was a charity set up to provide education and healthcare to areas in both Malawi and Tanzania. There is a lot of information on:

Both Heidi and myseld were made aware of the charity and the good work they do through a local family going to work in Malawi with the health centre and we are now keen to support the work they are doing with the schools. We will both be visiting Malawi in the summer and are looking to support they work they do. This is a long term project for both of us and we have set up a partnership between both our own school, Little Horsted Primary School and Kazembe Primary School to enable this to happen.

This charity and village particularly stood out as the villagers of Lifuwu are being proactive themselves in bettering their lives and providing the best opportunities for their children, however as many of us do from time to time, need that bit of extra help and support to enable this to happen. That's where Help2Kids comes in.

We are looking to raise funds for amongst others:

• Support of children to continue their education beyond primary
• Field trips for the children to enrich their learning 
• A tree nursery project
• Contribution towards building development of the school
