Firebird returns to the stage in Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, a stage adaptation of the reknowned classic novel of the same name. The script is adapted directly from the book, and is teeming with rich comedy and thought-provoking nonsense. More

Dear Lovers of the Arts,

In the Spring of 2013, Firebird Youth Theater made their debut as the first independent teen-run homeschooling theater company in our community, with their first off-Broadway production: Down the Chocolate River and Beyond, based on a beloved chocolate fairy tale by Roald Dahl. The following year, Firebird expanded their horizons with Expresso, a comedic commentary on the quickly monopolized industry in the world of retail, and domination of the market by major corporations. Both plays were adored by audiences of all ages, and both sold out a five-show run.

This April, Firebird returns to the stage in Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, a stage adaptation of the reknowned classic novel of the same name. The script is adapted directly from the book, and is teeming with rich comedy and thought-provoking nonsense. Audiences will fall in love with Firebird's Wonderland; a captivating, lively, and imaginative new world, brought to life through the beautiful medium of theater.

Our mission is to nurture the up-and-coming theatrical minds of our community, and create an artistic outlet for kids and teens to express themselves in new and exciting ways. The names in our playbills are names you could be finding in programs of Broadway shows not more than a couple years from now, just a couple blocks from the theaters they're performing in this year. We believe in young people making art happen.

FYT is a non-profit organization, run on fundraising programs and generous donations from people like you! With an off-Broadway theater venue and rehearsal space rental, alongside set construction and transportation, costumes, props, and tech support, Firebird needs you to help us take flight. We need as much help as we can get to make sure we can bring Wonderland to the public. So please, make your donation today, and spread the word so others can do the same. We can make this journey together, down the rabbit-hole and beyond.

Alice goes up the weekend of April 17th-19th, in the Roy Arias Theater:
(300 West 43rd St. corner of 8th avenue.)

Please save the date, we hope to see you there!
