Graduate Students of the African American Studies Program at Georgia State University will be participating in the Justice For All: National March and Rally October 10-13, 2014 in Ferguson, MO. On August 9, 2014 Missouri Officer Darren Wilson shot an unarmed Black 18 year old Mike Brown with his hands up in posture to surrender.

To this day, the officer has not been arrested and police have used excessive militarized force and weaponry amongst peaceful protesters. October 10-13, 2014, thousands of supporters will come together to show strength and solidarity for Ferguson, MO and across the nation, standing united against police violence and brutality. We hope to stand in representation of Academic Excellence and Social Responsibility.

We need your help and support!! Graduate students in the African American Studies Department at Georgia State University are working to transport 5 students to Ferguson and can use your financial support.

Where will your contribution go?

Your donations will help supplement lodging and transportation for graduate students.

The Impact?

Students not only participate in movement building against systemic practices that disproportionately effect African Americans, but students move from theory to practice in a scholar-activist approach.
