“You can be a victim of cancer, or a survivor of cancer. It’s a mindset,” says well-known author, Dave Pelzer, and 36-year-old Sabrina Tiedemann decided to use this advice and take the positive path of a survivor. On February 13, 2014 Sabrina was diagnosed with aggressive, invasive stage 2 breast cancer, and even though her mother died of cancer in 2009, Sabrina intends to rise above the odds and stoically fight this disease.

Although physically struggling these last few months—weight loss, fatigue, achiness, and hair loss due to the chemotherapy treatments—Sabrina continues to maintain an optimistic attitude during this long, arduous road to recovery. Doctors claim that if chemotherapy is ineffective, radiation is necessary after the double mastectomy.  We will be finding out the results the first part of September.

While mentally resilient with this battle, Sabrina faces other worries. Family and friends are concerned that financial burdens, created by missed work and mounting medical costs, will negatively affect her. So we have pulled together to raise funds and public awareness of Sabrina’s situation. We ask for donations, even small contributions are welcome, to help relieve some of Sabrina’s monetary problems. In our hearts we know that Sabrina will conquer this disease, move forward, and lead a long, healthy, and active life!

Your help is greatly appreciated,

Thank you.

*Sabrina implores all women, even those under forty, to give themselves monthly breast exams. It can save their life!
