Please help the victims of Typhoon Haiyan in Salvacion, Busuanga, Philippines. No food, water, or electricity. 25 missing and 2 dead in Palawan ...

In times of natural disasters, we see the best side of humanity emerge as we all band together to reach out and support those people who have been most affected. It is a time when we witness the best in one another as those affected deal with the worst challenges of their lifetime. The disaster in the Philippines calls for action right now, and provides us with an opportunity to assist those in need.

My extended family is from Busuanga, Palawan, Philippines. The whole town has been affected. 90% of properties – houses, businesses and others – have been seriously affected by the typhoon, along with 21 missing people and tragically 2 confirmed deaths in Busuanga, and 8 confirmed deaths and 26 people missing in nearby Coron.

Communication and power lines in these affected areas remain largely cut off after the onslaught of Haiyan, making it difficult for aid and relief to be sent there. The severely affected areas have no water, food, electricity or medical supplies.

Right now, there is an urgent immediate need for food, as people are busy repairing homes for shelter which leaves little time to search for food - and relief workers are struggling to get supplies into these areas.

This is an appeal to PLEASE HELP in this time of need, and donate to support these poor victims. Every bit helps!!!!
