Hunter Hepler is a 14 year old former Harrisonville, MO Middle School student and current Nekoosa High School student. On the last day of his 8th grade school year in Nekoosa, WI, Hunter was diagnosed with medulloblastoma – a malignant form of brain cancer. The following day, June 6, 2013, Hunter underwent a nine hour surgery at American Family Children’s Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin. Hunter spent 8 weeks in Chicago, Illinois undergoing 6 weeks of proton/radiation therapy and chemotherapy. Now that these initial treatments are completed, Hunter will need 11 more months of maintenance treatments – which will mean weekly trips to Madison and possibly Chicago.

In an effort to help Hunter and his family (Mom- Ray-Pec Alumni and Dad- Bonner Springs, KS Alumni) defray the expenses of travel and medical care, a fundraising benefit is scheduled for Saturday, October 12th in Nekoosa, WI and another Saturday, October 26, 2013 at the Harvest Moon Festival in Peculiar, MO.

We need your help to raise money for this family! You can donate online here or plan to attend the benefit...or both! All money raised goes to the family. Thank you!
