On Saturday, June 13, my brother Devon (Dev) was the victim of a devastating hit-and-run accident while on his motorcycle to work. In an instant, Dev lost not only his physical health but also his livelihood. Dev is currently hospitalized with two broken arms, a fractured hip, and a broken leg, and is waiting to insert structural pins.
If you know Dev, you know he is the absolute life of the party. He is the kind of person who enters a room and instantly brightens it up, always smiling, cracking jokes, and making sure everyone around him is laughing. Even in tough times, his joyful energy is infectious. It is truly heartbreaking to see someone who brings so much vibrant life and laughter to others stuck in a hospital bed, stripped of his mobility, and facing such immense physical pain.
As a family, we are doing everything we can, but the financial demands are piling up rapidly. We are launching this campaign to raise the necessary funds needed to cover the cost of the structural pins, surgeries, and his hospital stay. We are reaching out to our community and to anyone touched by his story to help relieve this financial burden so Dev can focus entirely on his recovery.
