Campaign Story
My name is Steve Deans. I'm a New Zealand citizen, and I've been living in Mexico for the past four years.
I came here to build an online business, be my own boss, and create a life that would eventually allow me to be closer to my daughters in England. I raised them through their childhood. Since 2014, I've been in New Zealand and other countries, and due to circumstances, family health issues, relationships, and finances, I haven't had the resources to travel to the UK or bring them to where I am.
My online business worked for a while here, then stopped. I've spent months trying everything. Door knocking. Emailing. Hustling. Nothing is flowing or working here anymore.
I'm now in Huatulco, staying with a friend temporarily. This is my only friend in Mexico and if it wasn't for them, I would be currently homeless on the streets. I have no income, very little money for food, and limited time here. The universe has made it clear: my time in Mexico is done. I need to go home to New Zealand, regroup, get stable, and continue with the next chapter, ASAP. The longer I stay here, the more difficult things get.

The Plan
1. Get to NZ: Raise $1500 USD for bus Huatulco → Mexico City, then
flights to Auckland and Christchurch.
2. Land safely: My cousin
in NZ has offered a room with wifi for a few weeks. I'm incredibly
grateful.
3. Get on my feet: Apply for Job Seekers Allowance and
find work immediately.
4. Rebuild: Save money, regain stability,
and eventually work toward reuniting with my daughters in the UK.

Why This Matters
I haven't seen my daughters in over 12 years. They live in England. Going home to NZ is not the final destination. It's the regrouping station. The place where I get stable, save money, and finally have the resources to be personally present in their lives again in the UK.
But first, I have to get out of Mexico.

P.S. I have asked all my friends and remaining family for help. Some have been able to help with sporadic small amounts for food and water, but no one has the money to help me with travel. They are all struggling to survive. I can not get a bank loan nor credit card either. This campaign is my final hope.
