I am a senior citizen, a widower who works as an independent contractor - process server/legal courier in upstate New York.  A month ago my car died suddenly which immediately put me out of work with the inability to visit my 15 year old daughter residing a distance away in a "troubled youth" facility in Vermont. I spent weeks attempting to get car repaired but it is too expensive and repair shops do not take payments. 
Because of limited funds I was only able to repair car in parts and have several more repairs estimated at about  $600 to make car roadworthy and pass inspection.

I applied for a small loan from a local company in order to pay for car repair and was approved for a secured loan but then denied because the car is disabled and cannot be used as collateral. Though I receive Social Security benefits it is just enough to pay rent, utility bills, car payment (yes, I am making pymts on a car I cannot drive now). Making matters worse my 15 year old daughter suffering abuse trauma is over 100 miles away from me and needs my help and support. I cannot get to her anymore and am in a completely helpless situation without a working vehicle.
I am not in any bus zone and have no funds to continue my work, get groceries, car repairs, etc. I have no funds/income to purchase any "vehicle for sale by owner"/dealer either. There is no other resources available to me to rectify this situation. 
The only resolve is to try to raise the necessary funds to repair the disabled vehicle so I can get back to work and also share the holidays with my daughter.
