I decided to start this GoFundMe in order to hopefully provide some much needed relief to a United States Air Force Service Connected Disabled Veteran that truly is beyond the very definition of deserving.

This man proudly served in the military until becoming severely injured while in service which ultimately led to an Honorable Discharge and the end of his military service. Due to the injuries he sustained, he was left with severe difficulties in not only walking, but even in doing small every day normal tasks.

Instead of allowing his disabilities to define who he was and who he still wanted to be, he decided to dedicate every ounce of energy he had to getting stronger and trying to regain some sense of normalcy in his and his family's lives.

After spending the next 6 years doing rigorous physical therapy and strengthening, he not only regained some of the strength and abilities that were lost after he became injured while serving, but surpassed every doctors expectation by successfully entering and completing the state police academy.  

He worked in this capacity as he continued learning how to function within the limits placed upon him by his past injuries. Not only did he excel, he became a highly respected and decorated member of the law enforcement community. While putting himself in the line of duty every single day to make the world a safer place for his community, he also raised a family.

Unfortunately, all of the hard work, dedication, and sacrifice that were made came to a tragic end when he was critically injured in the line of duty. This has led to countless surgeries and struggles every single day.

You would think that after someone had proudly served his country and who had then became disabled while serving, and then to surpass every expectation by working harder than anyone could ever imagine to fulfill a dream of becoming a police officer only to ultimately become critically injured in the line of duty, you would think that they had sacrificed enough in their pursuit of providing service to others and wouldn't be ultimately left in a position to where they had pretty much lost everything following his inability to provide a suitable income. He is now without any type of transportation, is in danger of losing his home, and struggle just to make it day to day.

The reason I am so knowledgeable about him and his situation is because he is my father. He is my hero. He tries to never ask others for help, but is truly in desperate need of some kind of relief or assistance.

He is partially paralyzed and yet still tries to remain hopeful with a smile on his face.

I am hoping to somehow come up with enough to help get him and my Mom some kind of dependable transportation so he can get to his doctors appointments and such. If there's anything left, I am hoping to help with his home situation.
