Patricia is a 41 year old woman with terminal liver cancer, who like many women, fell victim to domestic abuse.  

Suffering from a hard life at a young age, she sought out love and solace in men, who were often abusive.  

Most recently, in hopes of a ‘better life’ promised by her last boyfriend, she succumbed to his pressuring to move to California.  Making the long trek in her ‘01 Honda, it wasn’t long before it broke down after they got there.  

The boyfriend, now content that she got him to where he wanted to be because he had friends he could stay with in CA, and aggravated that her car broke down in a gas station parking lot, beat her and then left her stranded and penniless.  

She has spent the last 2 weeks living under the bridge with the homeless people at the Santa Monica Pier.  When we spoke last night, she has not bathed in over a week, or eaten in over 2 days.  

Her 20 year old daughter reached out to us and asked if we could help get her home to Michigan, so we obliged.  We paid for Lyft to LAX, got her a hotel, bought a plane ticket, paid for a Covid test, sent her money for food and essentials, etc.  She arrives 8/17 at 12:33 am.  

The problem is we have nowhere to house her.  We can put her in a hotel temporarily, but I need time to find a more permanent solution.  

If you can help out with hotel costs, food and essentials, we’d be greatly appreciative.

We also will need furnishings, dishes, pots/pans, silverware, bedding, a bed, towels, and everything for a small studio.
