A Rugger
Hey everyone! My name is Jose and I am student-athlete at the University of Mary Washington! I am majoring in Computer Science and minoring in Cyber Security whilst pursuing a career through D1 Rugby. I have been playing rugby for 12+ years since I enrolled via my primary school's summer program in 5th grade. Every since I started playing I fell in love with the game and the people I have met along the way.
France Invitational 7's
Rugby has given me the opportunity to meet many wonderful people from all over the world, and recently I have had the opportunity to get in touch with a long rugby friend I met while playing. On and off the pitch we've have shared very similar experiences as well as passions for the game. On June 2th - June 8th La Rochelle will be hosting the largest 7's tournament in France and I am on the roster for an competing team. My friend Nate has offered me a warm place to stay on my visit and meals to fuel my training for the 2-day tournament. I am leaving a few days prior to train with the group and to become acquainted with them prior to stepping on the pitch.
Not only is this the largest 7's tournament in France, but it is also Cock's 7's international rugby group's very first tournament and it consists of players from all over! England, France, USA (me!), and Canada!
What It Will Cover
Thank to my amazing rugby friends, the donation will be used for the plane ticket, and any form of transportation I will need once I get into France. Everything else that may arise I will be covering out of pocket.
