Hello, My name is Tyra Johnson, and I am doing a fundraiser for my little sister to bring her back home to her family!
My sister Zora was taken away from our family at age 14 by the department of social services. My sister Zora is now 18 years old and is wanting to be reunited with myself and the rest of the family (our mother, brothers, and aunt). However, during her rough and bumpy journey in the foster care system, she has not been able to save up enough money from age 14 to 18 to buy plane tickets to the Netherlands. We used to live in America , but we have moved because our brother is in the military and is stationed down here. Zora has mental illnesses as well which makes it hard for her to work or even get a good paying job . She has managed to afford a passport but then was shirt on money due to paying bills and rent. She has been through many abusive foster homes , and I have seen her with black eyes and bruises all over her body, so she deserves to come back to the family that loves and cares about her instead of being trapped in America with no family to go to!
As her family we have been trying to help her get to us, but we have also been struggling to save up money. Donations from anyone would be a huge blessing , the money will be going to our precious Zora through a PayPal account , once the money is high enough for a plane ticket to Amsterdam, we will then be able to see our kind and loving sister again. Our brother Jason would be even more happy to see her! It will be a dream come true for her and the family. Please help us make that dream come true .
Imagine if you had children, and your child was taken away from you suddenly just because someone lied and said that you as a parent or guardian were neglecting your children. Imagine that the child they took had post traumatic stress disorder, major depression , anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Imagine that child crying and screaming because they did not want to leave the family. Now imagine the state taking away your parental rights by force by saying that if you do not voluntarily give up your parental rights , that they will take away your other children.
It's a sad thing to witness, and I cried for a month straight and kept asking when my sister was going to come home. And the answer was, when she turns 18 if she chooses to. Luckily my sister remembers us, and wants to be in the family once again. I cannot wait to see her and give her a big hug, I will probably cry happy tears. I hope she will get to see us very soon.
