My name is Marianne Donovan.I am terminaly ill with 3 severe heart and lung diseases.Chronic obstructive pulmanary disease,Chronicpain ,Chronic Pulmanary heart Disease,Pulmanary Hypertention,and an unknown infection in my body which the medical nurses say if it gets in my bloodstream will kill me.They are working on finding the source.Before I got ill,i took care of my husband at home,with not one person who would help.He had 5 grade 4 brain tumors.i kept him at home as he requested.i lost him in July of 2008,after 37 years of marraige.half of me went with him.i was a CNA all my working career.I rescued from a horrible puppy mill 2 long haired mini dachshunds.After 1 month found a home for Buddy,but kept Chloe who became the love of my life.ate with me,slept with me,and in all my life,never had a dog with so much love to give.And i couldn't love her more.I had to move to town from our farm, i had on a large enclosure,i felt i had cheated her.my attack happened just before we moved.A life on oxegyn 24/7 and care givers began.used what i had left getting the old house i got taken on,fixing the home,safe to live in.I had been on hospice,but when i hadn't died in 6 months,medicare forced Hospice to take me off.so I went on a program where through the hospital,nurses come once a week,do all my vitals,fill my medicine machine,change the dressing on a huge bedsore,and check for edima which is getting worse.also because I am so thin,my tailbone is trying to push through the skin.very painful.i have to pay for all my medicine,including the nebuliser medicine.in one monthe it runs between $150-$300 a month.I also have to pay for my lifeline machine which has a necklace like button on me ALWAYS.if i have more pain in my heart than usual,if i push the button,several people,[police,ambulance and friends are here in seconds.So,i took out a loan on my house,it lasted a year,there is enough in there now will pay caregivers for no more than a few weeks .Peter Schuler who is a blessing in my life, without his help,I would not have made it this far.his kindness and caring is remarkable.,will stay,but not the others.1 time a month I get a free small box of food which is sometimes a little food,toilet paper,it helps.but the stack of unpaid bills on my table sends a fear into me of a nature I can't explain.I have Faith,in THE LORD,and in the wonderful people I have met on FACEBOOK.big hearts,i see it every day.I lost my Mom 2 years ago.She used to say,she prayed I would not be without friends as sick and alone as I was and I am much worse now.My biggest wish is to die at home with Chloe next to me.And her vet who took her home when I have been in the hospital.He and his lovely wife love Chloe,and will take her as if she was their own if I die before her.They are very special people,Ones i would like here in the end.Chloe is very sensitive to my illness.if i take melatonin[no drugs in it] and am not breathing right,she will put her little paws on my chest.It wakes me,i realise i'm not breathing,grab the nebuliser next to my bed and within 15 minutes,i'm good again.i only get though,maybe 3 hours of sleep.I am up for good at 4 am.In the past before my atack or my husbands illnes,my CNA job turned from nursing homes to only home care.I loved making homemade pie,soups,homemade soups to take to the elderly.called them gramma or grampa.One couple said they wished they could adopt me.i just told them,I am here for you,ever lonely,just call.i love people,and i hope my plea will get me the help i need.Oh,Chloe does not go without anything I want to say in advance may God Bless you many times over.And I do know there are many out there that are in bad shape,and I really believe in the saying,God won't give you more than you can bare,but I feel I am there now.I will continue to have hope .Thank you all for being my friends.
