My life is currently on the line and I am desperately asking for your help in order to pay for my legal fees. Unfortunately, on July 25, 2016 I was falsely accused and arrested for a crime that I did not commit. I am a father of two children and am a single parent raising my four year old daughter who needs me in her life. If convicted, I'll face a sentence from 5 years - 25 years. The court appointed lawyer was of no help and quickly tried to get me a plea bargain deal still sending me to prison, but I am an innocent man and feel I don't deserve not even one day in prison. Why should I give up my freedom for a crime I didn't commit?!
I was referred to a lawyer that helped out a close family friend of mine. However, I don't have the funds necessary to pay the upfront legal fees to have him represent me in court and my immediate family has already exhausted their monies in order to bail me out of jail. I am truly blessed and grateful to be fighting for my life while being able to be around my family everyday instead of doing it behind bars. However, in order for this attorney to defend me in court I need to come up with $8,000 and sadly can't afford it at this time. I must appear in court in two weeks where I must provide the initial payment. I do not like to ask anyone for money, but at this point I am helpless and humbly requesting for any contribution possible so that I can fight this case and stay in my daughter's life.

The total expenses for the legal case is subjective, but could be up to $20,000 depending on how long and drawn out the case becomes. Additional funds raised above the retainer amount of $8,000 will go towards future legal fees that may accrue.
