My Name is John Cline and My son Cory (24) was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma in July. He is a single dad of my 2 grandchildren.

He was working hard full time with a company in HVAC to provide for himslef and his babies and didn't miss a day of work for anything. I noticed bulge on the left side of his chest on Fathers day and asked him about it. He said it had been there for a while and didn't know what it was, but insisted it was nothing and didn't want to miss work. I told him that he should get to the doctor and have it checked out. He did the following week. The MD he went to told him it looked like lymphoma and sent him to a oncologist to check for sure. After the vist he was sent to have a CAT scan and other testing done and it comfirmed what it was (Hodgkins Disease) and a pet scan later revealed it was Stage 4. He was told by his Doctor that he has a great chance at beating it, But it will be a hard fight. He began chemo treatments in July and will be doing treatment 2 times a month. He just finished 3rd treatment after missing one because his WBC was too low. Cory is now going on his 4th treatment. 

He was employed full time and the company he worked for was paying his insurance while he was out on disabilty, so he didn't have to worry about that part of it. He had  made his deductable and was on his way to fighting the lymphoma all while only receiving short term disabilty, a small % of his regular income and from contributions  from friends and family members. He is now up for the 4th of 12 treatments of chemo when the company he worked for called and told him he was let go and that he will now have to pay for his insurance (Cobra) on his own. The Cobra premium is almost 500.00 a month and with out the insurance, the treatments alone will be 3000.00 each time he gets it. That doesn't include his regular medications for pain or the shots he has to have in order to boost his WBC or anything else. Cory has bills like we all do and will now have to fight just to keep his insurance in tact too. I t is too much for him alone to come up with. He has 9 chemos left to do and then radiation at the end of the year. I am asking family and friends for contributions/donations to try and make things a bit less stressful for Cory so he can focus on his fight while being able to take care of his children. Big or small, because any contribution from you would be so greatly appreciated and would be a step closer in Cory beating Hodgkins.
