My name is Kevin Burton, I'm trying to raise money for a sports club that is very close to my heart and has been since my childhood. 

I'm currently Chairman and Lead coach of the Junior section. The sports club has gone from strength to strength and is growing in it's membership numbers every year. Due to this we are in desperate need of a new pavillion to accomodate all juniors, seniors and social members passing through our sports experience. Not only do we offer Cricket and football to those from the age of 6 upwards but we also have a growing cycle, darts and social group. We have several families that have more than 1 generation in our club. I myself have been part of 3 generations of my family which will hopefully soon be four.

This club has supported me and my family personally throughout the years helping us to raise money through various events for charities close to our hearts such as Leaukemia Reasearch, Great Ormand Street,Padua Ward at William Harvey Hospital, Help for Heros and Pilgrims hospice.

So I feel that is now time for me to do something else in return from all the support that the I have recieved.

I'm doing this in the form of a Grand Union 100km canal walk. We start in London and have 24 hours to complete the 100km walk and finish in stoke hammond, Bucks. 

The current pavillion has been standing since 1967 and had a life expectancy of 25years. Although there have been many additions this original timber framed building is standing.
