Hello, My name is Michael-John, I have a beautiful family with the love of my life Sheila Sedinger and her two adorable girls, whom I cherish as my own.
Sheila & I have been together since 2012 and I proposed to her last year. My life is complete with them.
But also, last year we lived a true hardship, Sheila received an unexpected call from immigration Canada to start a deportation process. She has been here for 9 years and due to a very complex case with her previous sponsor they canceled her permanent residency status and all her documents (medicare, SIN card, work permit, etc etc). They were going to separate her from her daughters and from me on August 31st 2014, (n her daughter's birthday), but she had her petition of Temporary Residency for 2 years accepted and the deportation was stopped.
Since then, Immigration Canada tried once more to start a deportation process on February of this year but was immediately stopped when the agent gave us the wondeful news that her Permanent Residency under Humanitarian & Compasionate Grounds was accepted in principle.
On March she received another letter from immigration saying that she only had 30 days to do a series of process which cost money and time, some are complex, they were:
-Police Certificates from her country of origin
-Financial Information
-Medical Exam
-Permanent Residency fees
She asked for an extention of time since they had sent the letter to the wrong adress and she received it very late. Also they only gave her 30 days which for some cases is impossible to achieve
The new due date is June 8th 2015.
We have been trying to get the money necessary for it, but I have been unemployed since some months now and have had a hard time to find a job.
In adition, the letter specifies that she could become inelegible if she receives benefit from social assistance or welfare directly or indirectly, so we can't appy for either.
Sheila's work permit process was also delayed due to a change of fees on february where she had to re-apply with $100 extras. She presented her submission on March but hasn't received any work permit yet which hasn't allowed her to start working. She is presently receiving support from The MP office of our area to have an accelerated process and hopefully get her permit as soon as possible.
And due to the cancelation of her SIN card she has been unable to request child tax benefit. So presently we are in an extremelly precarious economical situation with 3 months rent delayed, risk to lose our appartment, no money for transportation and unable to finish this process.
Right now Sheila was able to renew valid ID so she could continue her process, and right now what we really need is the money for the Medical Exam and PR Fees, which the amount is:
-Permanent Residency Fees: $490
-Medical Exam (the cheapest we found) $230
Of course we need to book an appointment to do the medical exam before is too late, so if we can gather this amount before Monday June 1st.
We added to the amount an extra $300 in case anyone would be willing to support with our other expenses, mainly our bus pass for the month of June which are $260 ($129 x person since we live in South Shore, Qc and we have to travel everyday to Montreal)
