My name is Donny McCormick and in January, 2015, I will be leaving to volunteer in Lusaka, Zambia. There I shall be performing work for Africa on the Ball (http://africaontheball.org) and the community of Kalingalinga.

I graduated from university in June, 2014, with two law degrees and have been unable to find full-time employment. I have been determined to utilise my skills to make myself a living but, unfortunately, I have been unsuccessful. I therefore decided to make use of these skills for the benefit of those less fortunate.

Africa On The Ball is an Scottish Registered Charity which uses the power of football as a vehicle for the advancement of health, education and enterprise in deprived areas of Africa. My work in Lusaka will allow Africa on the Ball to better fulfil its aims through formal national recognition as a Non-Governmental Organisation. I will also be performing additional charity work alongside my main project.

I am undertaking this (initially four-month) project entirely at my own expense and I need some help. I have raised enough of my own funds to cover my flights, vaccinations and insurance. I am hoping to raise enough money to cover my living expenses for the duration of my volunteering. All donations will got to Africa on the Ball who will then contribute the value towards my living expenses.

Thank you.
