FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO DO NOT KNOW DEBBIE, SHE IS THE FOUNDER AND
DIRECTOR OF SECOND CHANCE RESCUE IN BUNNELL FL (NEAR ORLANDO). SHE HAS
HELPED US DOWN HERE IN SOUTH FL WITHOUT BATTING AN EYE, SHE HAS ALWAYS
RESPONDED TO OUR DESPERATE PLEAS FOR THE EVERGLADES, HOMESTEAD, OPA
LOCKA, LITTLE HAITI EMERGENCIES WHEN WE HAVE FOUND POOR DOGS HOMELESS
WANDERING THE STREETS. SHE NEVER ASKED FOR MONEY, NEVER ASKED FOR THE
DOGS TO BE VETTED BEFORE COMING TO HER, JUST LET US PICK THESE POOR
SOULS OFF OF THE STREET IN WHATEVER CONDITION THEY WERE IN, AND DRIVE
THEM UP TO HER SAFE HAVEN. DOZENS AND DOZENS OF DOGS WHO COULDN'T FIND
RESCUE OR HOMES IN SOUTH FL, FOUND PEACE AND SAFETY......AND GREAT
HOMES WITH DEBBIE.
NOW SHE NEEDS OUR HELP. SHE HAS HAD HUGE
MEDICAL SETBACKS THIS YEAR INCLUDING A MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT TWO WEEKS
AGO WHICH LEFT HER WITH FRACTURED VERTEBRAE AND STAPLES IN HER
HEAD.
SHE HAS 70 DOGS THAT SHE IS TRYING TO CARE FOR.
PLEASE
SHARE THIS EMAIL AND IF YOU CAN EVEN TAKE ONE DOG FOR HER, THAT WILL
BE TREMENDOUS. BELOW IS HER PLEA AND 9 DOGS TO START WITH TO EASE HER
LOAD. Please if it were you she'd help to take one...
THIS IS
DEBBI'S PLEA....PLEASE IF YOU CAN READ THE ENTIRE THING BC THERE ARE
MANY WAYS TO HELP.
First, I would like to thank everyone
receiving this letter for helping in one way or another with SCR
throughout the years. Your support means so much!
I started this
rescue years ago and believe me, where we are today is just a dream
for me. Thanks to some very special people we are now in the process
of making the rescue even better for the animals with ground work to
stop the flooding, new and safe fencing, barns and new buildings for
the dogs. It is a dream come true for me and the animals.
Without going into specific details, let me tell you about me. I
recently turned 50 years old and have had some pretty serious health
issues that are keeping me from being able to do all I'd like to do
with the rescue. I do have great friends who help keep things up
though and the progress is happening. This past Sunday, I was in a bad
motorcycle accident and I thank the Lord I'm still here to talk about
it, but I do have some serious injuries that will now keep me down for
a while.
In the meantime, SCR is suffering financially to a point where
I'm afraid we aren't going to be able to continue to care for the
animals in our care. We have temporarily stopped taking in new ones,
but still have over 80 dogs along with horses, goats, pigs, peacocks
and cats that we are responsible for.
Our bills are piling up
with no way to pay them. We are running out of food weekly and barely
getting by. We have a bill at the feed store that must be paid so we
can order more feed for the farm animals and we have an enormous Vet
bill that must be paid down before we can continue vet care for our
animals.
There are numerous ways that you can help if you'd like
to do so. I will list them below. Please help keep SCR alive. I am
really afraid that if we don't find serious help soon that it may be
the end of SCR. Please help if you can. Thank you. Deb

HERE IS A PLEA FOR JUST A
SAMPLE OF THE DOGS IN NEED AT SCR.:
Lizzi is a 2 yr old girl who is good with dogs and loves people.
She was found emaciated and torn to pieces after being a thrown away
bait dog. She is fully vetted and having her heartworm treatment done
now. She is a gentle and sweet lovebug.
Hercules is a 2 yr old boy who is a big goofball. Loves toys and
loves other dogs, but does play rough. He was found starving and so
horribly covered in mange that we had no idea what color he even was.
He is a real people lover but does try to protect the ones he loves
and trusts.
Hennessey is a 1 yr old girl. Fully Vetted, Housebroken and good
with dogs and loves kids! Friendly, all around great gal
Spike is a 1 yr old boy. Fully Vetted & Housebroken. Great
with dogs and absolutely loves kids! Smart, Playful and good boy!
Gypsy is a 2 yr old gorgeous girl. She is fully vetted and
housebroken. She is great with dogs and kids. She is finishing up her
heartworm treatment now. She is really a great dog!!
Hanna is a 1 1/2 yr old sweet girl! Fully Vetted &
Housebroken. LOVES other dogs and plays very well with everyone! She
loves kids and she is not a really big girl (weighs about 40#). She's
smart, listens well and is darn near perfect lol
Jessie is a 3 yr old girl who was rescued from a horrible
hoarder where she was kept in deplorable conditions and was somehow
badly injured and never treated. She will be fully vetted and have her
back leg amputated in the next week. She is gentle, great with other
dogs and good with kids.
Misty is an 8 month old girl who was rescued after being
horribly abused. She had broken ribs, broken jaw and lots of pain and
bruising. She is now fully vetted, housebroken and healthy. She's
playful and loves dogs, cats and kids. She just loves life!
Romeo is a 9 yr old boy who came from same hoarder as Jessie. He
is fully vetted and will have his back leg amputated if our vet feels
necessary. He is great with dogs and loves anyone who will show him
attention and love.
These are just a few. Any help is greatly appreciated! Email me
if you want to know of the many more I could use help with. Thank you, Deb
