A three-member team will try to summit the tallest mountain in North America to raise funds and awareness for the EOD Warrior Foundation, which helps the casualties and families of EOD operators who have sacrificed the most over the last decade of conflict.

The climb kicks off May 11 in Talkeetna, Alaska, when the team will fly by ski plane to the base of the climb on the Kahiltna Glacier. From there, it's up to three weeks of hauling 120 pound gear loads up the West Buttress route in subzero temperatures until reaching the zenith of North America.

Explosive Ordnance Disposal operators have a dangerous job and The EOD Warrior Foundation has offered personalized support to more than 350 of those wounded and fallen heros and their families. What you don't see in the numbers, however, is the immense strength, courage and resilience these warriors and their families demonstrate as they face challenges and changes in their lives.
