gallery nectar in tbilisi invited me for my first solo exhibition in georgia (6.2.-7.3.2014). an artist having been living in tbilisi for four years this is the opportunity i have been dreaming of, hence i have been working on my exhibition ever since the invitation.
after a long period of conceptualization i decided on the format of an installation concerning my reflections on neo-colonialism through a dialogue of the colonizer and the colonized for the whole gallery space.
an additional side event - screening of one of the first full length documentary films 'nanook of the north' from 1922 - will take place at the taverna located below the gallery.
in the process the costs of the installation have risen, not because of expensive materials for the sake of it, but because of the wish to realize my concept in its best form.
therefore i am in need of help to cover some of the production costs, since both gallery nectar and i personally rely only on our own resources.
