The photo of Lori blowing bubbles was taken at her Masters in Social Work graduation from Georgia State in 2010. However, in January 2013, our classmate and friend, Lori Langland was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, or ALS.

In January of 2013, our classmate and friend, Lori Langland was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, or ALS.

Better known as Lou Gehrig's disease, ALS is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord.  In the later stages of the disease, the patient becomes paralyzed, while their mind remains intact and alert.

There is no known cure for ALS.  It is a fatal disease.

We are writing to ask for your help . . . and encourage you to donate your time . . . money . . . care . . . and prayer on Lori's behalf.  Any and all support is welcome.

If we all pitch in, we can help Lori maintain her quality of life while she endures the ravages of this terrible disease.

Lori lives alone, having never married, and as her disease progresses, she will need increasing support and care.

At this time, Lori's financial needs may be her greatest obstacle.  She has very little income, and her medical expenses, hands-on care, etc. will become increasingly more difficult.  Please consider what amount you could bless Lori with, but know that any amount would be greatly appreciated, even $10.

You can donate here using Paypal, or you may send a check, payable to:

Friends of Lori Langland, c/o Mallernee and Branch, PA, ATTN: Tom Branch, 400 Colony Square, 1201 Peachtree St #1750, Atlanta, GA. 30361.

Please don't miss this opportunity to be a hero, and an angel for Lori!  Nothing thrills our souls, and gives us joy, quite like helping a friend in need!  And Lori truly needs our help!

Gratefully,

Friends of Lori Langland, (DHHS Class of '71)
