Indonesia, the fourth largest country in the world, with the largest Muslim community in the world knows almost nothing about the Holocaust during WWII. So imagine the powerful impact on a group of Indonesian students, travelling to the United States to hear first hand the story of a baby in Nazi occupied Holland, and his parents desperate struggle try to find a safe hiding place against certain death. His rescuers are an Indonesian family, immigrants living in The Hague. The family and their Javanese Muslim nanny hid baby Alfred, renaming him Bobby, for the entire terror and bombings of WWII.

Dr. Alfred Munzer, "baby Bobby," eventually grew up to become a lung specialist, head of the American Lung Association saving thousands of lives through his work.

When the students met Dr. Munzer the students implored Dr, Munzer to come to Indonesia to spread his story of this Indonesian family compassion, courage and message of religious tolerance.

Your donation will help fund the documentary filming of the journey of this Holocaust survivor to Indonesia and  to spread this story of the little known role played by his Indonesian rescuers.

Funding will directly support the creation of the film:

Create educational programs run by the  Indonesian students at five separate locations.

Provide teacher training and programming in schools and mosques and other local Indonesian organizations.
