Chamblee and Lindsay Abernethy, sisters and native Georgians, are planning their first transport of shelter animals from the pet overpopulated Southeast to Boulder, Colorado where there aren't enough shelter dogs and cats to keep up with the demand. The sisters both moved to Boulder, Colorado, Lindsay from Missoula, Montana and Chamblee from Atlanta, Georgia, in June 2012. They soon started organizing their first transport of shelter animals, which will take place on April 5, 2013. They hope to eventually obtain their 501(c)(3) non-profit status and organize several transports a year and maybe someday even open their own shelter. For now, they just want to raise enough money to fuel the cross-country "Rescue Wagon ride." Thank you for helping them fulfill their dream of saving lives!!!
