23 year old Richard Harlow of Nanaimo BC lost his eye sight 2 years ago and is now blind from a rare eye disease Lebers Optic Neuropathy. He was miss diagnosed many times and was even put on chemo therapy, before Drs finally learned that he can take a pill once a day to slowly rebuild and repair his vision. The sad and horrible part is- BC health care will not help since it is such a rare disease. Richard and his father cannot afford this procedure on their own. He has until April 29th to raise enough money, after that the treatment will no longer be available due to government cuts.

He is a young man with much to offer. With a wonderful personality and a love of life, Richard stays positive and hopeful, that one day he will see again.

Even though Richard is now blind he is still pursuing his goal of a university degree. He also copes with his blindness by doing stand up comedy, a way he can talk about illness in a light hearted way.

We need to raise 12 thousand dollars in order for Richard to gain his sight back. Please, find it in your hearts to donate anything. We need to help, we need to give Richard his sight back and to see the world once again.
